Carnforth Town Council, Town Development and Planning Committee are always looking at ways to improve the environment in which we live and trying to attract more people to visit our beautiful Town.
As the Town has a long history of railway development and practice they thought it would be a good idea to welcome people to Carnforth with a ‘display train’ soon to be enhanced by the addition of colourful flowers. Because of the Brief Encounter links through the Heritage Centre, the train is called ‘The Brief Encounter Special’
The ‘Train’ was built by Rolande, the Wood Artist and hopefully will become an iconic part of the fabric of the Town.
